Now I understand the fact that they're Swedish doesn't give them talent, but I love their accents. In addition to a few other Swedish acts, I've been listening to these guys for a few years, (bar Hassle).
Quite frankly Erik hassle has the soul of a black man. (Check out his cover of Sly & the Family Stone's Family Affair.) His first single Hurtful made a huge splash, which was number 11 and 2 in Sweden and Denmark respectively. Although it only reached 59 here, it gave him some recognition and I definitely recognise him. He's not the typical singer-songwriter, which is good because we don't want to hear about how depressed they all are. He mixes and r&b voice with an electro backing and I couldn't love him more for it.

Robyn, Robyn, Robyn. This woman can't go wrong. She's been making music longer than I've been alive (since '91). Her music is just pure dance, but it actually has some meaning to it, in contrast to every Cascada song out there. I'm floored by the fact that she's releasing three albums within the space of this year and it's no surprise that they're all good. Plus her dancing in her videos is AMAZE. I'm a poor and lowly 6th former, but i'll gladly spend my lunch money on these.

Lykke Li is strange, I'm not gonna lie. Looking at her, you'd think she's all cute an innocent, despite the fact that her new song 'Get Some' is about her being a prostitute. She's a throwback to the 'good ol' days' your parents seem to remind you about frequently. (Check her Shirelles cover here). Her voice isn't the most technically perfect, but that slightly out of tune yelp she does gets me every time. I love Youth Novels, and every song she features on, she makes it.

I LOVE YOU SWEDEN.
