I'll do my best to ignore his BRIT school alumni status (woops just mentioned it). But yes, I discovered him first sub-consciously (props to Christina Shutti), but then I heard Ed Sheeran's cover of HIS cover, Wayfaring Stranger. Now I'm a sucker for slow, meaningful songs, and this is one of them. However, he can do a lot more. I can definitely appreciate a singer-songwriter who can create a whole backing vocal using his mouth, hands and a Line6 DL4 loop sampler.
He has a soulful sound, whether it's the unaccompanied voice on my personal favourite 'Spirits' (a cover of Yap) or the more produced Night Air. The songs are very different, but it's still him. I can't wait for him to get more popular so I can tell my friends I told you so. Catch an interview with him on the Radio 1 website.

EDIT.
Night Air video out.
