Lana gives me an internal struggle. The righteous musician in me wants to say her constructed persona and fairly average vocal ability renders her one of the singer songwriters of the time who will pass away as quickly as our New Year work out plans. But then on 'Born To Die' her sparse vocal enchant you and compel you to identify with the doomed lover archetype. In simple man's terms, she is seductive: vocally and physically (of course). Too seductive to waste time on snobbery.
