The bands 4th single has been remixed by the Invisible Men. I'm not sure how many die hard Coldplay fans will like this as it's a much more of a bass fuelled, r'n'b inspired drumming anthem than what they usually put out, but if you can appreciate a step away from the norm (which the collaboration with Rihanna already created) it would actually be impossible not to love this song.

This is a cover. It's easy for anyone to pick up an acoustic guitar and
sing someone else's song, but those who take careful consideration to
create a whole new side to the song deserve some attention. As always,
Emeli's voice is flawless.
EDIT: The video is back up!

Today is my birthday. Yes that's irrelevant, but I thought I'd put it out there anyway. This means I'm viewing Coldplay's new single as a special present for me because I know, they know it's my birthday.
Stalking aside, (I say that often don't I) I flipping love this song. It's kind of an attempt at the who Electro thing without synths. THANK THE LORD, I CANNOT TAKE ANYMORE BLOODY SYNTHS. They used guitars instead and made it their own. Also, these must be the least profound lyrics they've ever done. Granted the title is Every Teardrop is a Waterfall, but it's fun. It's summer now anyway. No one wants depressing music. Sorry White Lies! Although the end drum solo does sound exactly like the end of Farewell to the Fairground, but let's ignore that bit. Coldplay wouldn't dream of stealing. Apparently I'm not the only who likes it. Fearne Cotton played it twice in a row, the rebel.
Dare I say it, this is a Coldplay party tune. And it's not too bad.
